On May 15, 2023, Bally's made an agreement with the Oakland Athletics MLB team for their new stadium on the site currently occupied by the Tropicana Hotel and Casino. In September 2022, Bally's purchased the non-land assets of the Tropicana Las Vegas from GLPI and Penn Entertainment for $148 million.
